I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Prolonged Exposure Therapist who provides counseling and psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. I am located in Philadelphia and currently offering teletherapy appointments to clients located in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Vermont.

My passion is empowering individuals to live more satisfying lives. I do this by helping my clients to look at their choices, relationships, and life in different ways, make sense of difficult past experiences, and acquire the tools and skills needed to realize their personal potential.

I primarily use cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches to therapy; however, I believe that therapy is most effective when tailored to meet the needs, strengths, and goals of each client, so I make use of various therapeutic techniques in order to most effectively help each client make meaningful, positive changes in their lives. Sessions often involve us working collaboratively together to help you gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and learn healthy coping skills to modify maladaptive patterns.

I specialize in providing evidence-based therapies for anxiety disorders and related conditions, including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, specific phobias, OCD, and PTSD. I have advanced, specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy for OCD and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD. Research has shown these therapies to be among the most effective forms of treatment for these often debilitating disorders.

Additionally, I have had the privilege of working with many clients who have experienced significant benefits from participating in these specialized therapies and have expressed relief about having finally found a specific form of therapy, that goes beyond traditional talk therapy, that is especially helpful for them.

My interactive approach to therapy will challenge you to actively pursue change while compassionately understanding how difficult the change process can be. We will match the pace of therapy to where you are and what you feel ready to implement in your life.

My belief is that a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is an essential component for therapy to be beneficial. This is one reason that I offer a free, no obligation phone consultation to help you decide if I’m the right therapist for you. Contact me today to schedule your free 20-minute consultation.
