Philadelphia One Million Steps for OCD Walk 2022
This year Philadelphia's One Million Steps for OCD Walk will take place on Saturday, October 22nd at the Cynwyd Heritage Trailhead!
Location: Cynwyd Heritage Trail, Cynwyd Station Park Trailhead
321 Conshohocken State Road Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004
Join us as we walk to raise awareness and funds for everyone impacted by OCD and related disorders!
Why We Walk
The One Million Steps for OCD Walk provides a supportive community, increases awareness, and raises funds for the IOCDF and its Local Affiliates, enabling them to continue their mission. Funds raised benefit the OCD and related disorders community by helping us to:
Shorten the time to proper diagnosis, improve access to treatment, and increase the number of trained therapists.
Provide education about what OCD and related disorders actually are through our websites, ambassador program and anxiety in the classroom initiative.
Engage the entire OCD and related disorders community to advocate and educate in order to reduce stigma!
What to Expect
Arrive at 8:30am to meet up with other walkers and pick up your Walk T-shirt. Brief opening remarks start at 9:30am and the walk will kickoff around 9:45am.
Walkers will enjoy the Cynwyd Heritage trail, which is an out and back trail that is 1.8 miles long. Walk as much or as little as you'd like! The trail head does require going down steps and is not ADA accessible.
Want to help?
Support us by either registering to walk with us on October 22nd, 2022 or by making a donation to our team. This year our team name is “The Maybe/Maybe Nots” because this reflects the focus of OCD treatment, which is to accept uncertainty.
Take a step and join us at the #OCDwalk!
